The philosophy at SomnoMed
At SomnoMed, we pride ourselves on our evidence-based approach to OSA treatment and the development of the SomnoDent® MAS. In 2004, after 7 years of clinical research, SomnoMed was approved to commercialize its mandibular advancement splint, the SomnoDent® MAS, as a clinically validated treatment of OSA. Developed by orthodontist Dr. Richard Palmisano, SomnoMed wholly owns all intellectual property rights to the MAS. In line with this philosophy, SomnoMed continues to conduct research and development projects to provide further clinical evidence, and to increase the efficacy of our MAS to better serve our patients and their dentists and doctors. While we create potentially life-changing devices, it is the interdisciplinary treatment support network we foster which ensures patients are treated thoroughly, and in line with our evidence-based approach. Through these values we aim to provide reliable support to patients, dentists and referring specialists in our shared quest to alleviate the strain of OSA on the community.
